MAD Projects

Third year Bachelor and Master students of Graphic Design work half a day a week on community service projects for external clients. We strive to develop most of these projects through teamwork and multi-disciplinary collaboration (Graphic Design, Illustrative Design, Interactive Design, Advertising Design).

The decree describes community service as “all compensated services for third parties provided by (people connected to) a college and arising from the college’s knowledge, results of scientific research or technology.”

These projects positively encourage the production, commitment and team spirit, and teach students to work with tight(er) deadlines and realistic budgets. Furthermore, the results are an interesting addition to the student’s personal portfolio.

This service offers a valuable alternative for non-profit organizations and NGO's that have a need for communication and design, but often do not have the budget to hire a professional full-service agency.
