Expo 'Are these my 15 minutes'

Andy Warhol zei ooit: “In de toekomst zal iedereen 15 minuten lang beroemd zijn.” De tentoonstelling Are These my 15 minutes neemt deze uitspraak als uitgangspunt en bundelt het werk van negen masterstudenten van PXL-MAD met uiteenlopende praktijken, die samen dit idee kozen als een gemeenschappelijk verbindingspunt.  

Are these my 15 minutes is een dialoog tussen proces en product. Er wordt nagedacht over wat het betekent om iets af te maken, te benadrukken door het in de schijnwerpers te zetten. Het gaat over non-elitisisme, doe-het-zelven, een gefragmenteerde samenleving of al het bovenstaande. 

Are these my 15 minutes is een 2-daagse tentoonstelling in constante beweging in AAIMACHINE, met Eileen Sussholz, Femke Ooms, Hannah Willems, Into Nilo, Kasper Claes, Khalid Verhaert, Leonard Wertelaers, Lune Marchal en Sam van Paesschen.

Andy Warhol notedly repeated that "In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes." The exhibition ‘Are these my 15 minutes’ takes this statement as its starting point and brings the work of nine master's students together, with diverse practices, who chose this idea as a common point of connection. 

‘Are these my 15 minute’s is a dialogue between process and product. It considers what it means for something to be finished, to be highlight by placing it in the spotlight. It is about non-elitisism, do-it-yourself, a fragmented society or all of the above.

‘Are these my 15 minutes’ is a 2-day exhibition in constant motion in AAIMACHINE, with Eileen Sussholz, Femke Ooms, Hannah Willems, Into Nilo, Kasper Claes, Khalid Verhaert, Leonard Wertelaers, Lune Marchal en Sam van Paesschen.
